Borrowing & returning media (DBWM)
Borrowing
Our media can be ordered via the Knowledge Portal Primo. The media will be provided for you in our library. You will be informed via email about provided media.
You can find ordered media in the ordered books shelf next to the self-check-out counter, with which you can lend the books.
Please log-in to the Knowledge Portal Primo in advance and set up a PIN for the self-check-out counter (the postcode is preset).
Articles from printed journals and books can be ordered by TU members as a scanning request.
Returning
Media can be returned in the self-return machine in our library or in the anonymous return box (without return receipt) in the main university library and in the foyer of the TU Berlin mainbuilding.
Fees can be paid by bank transfer or in the Central Library at the pay machine (EC payment is also possible here).
Access to e-resources
All online resources are available on campus via the TU network and most are available off campus via Virtual Private Network VPN. Off campus access is only possible for TU staff and students.
Full-text articles, e-books and e-journals: The Knowledge Portal Primo is the best place to start your search. It includes e-books and e-journals subscribed to by the libraries.Databases: See our list of relevant literature databases for economics and management. See our short manual of how to access Web of Science and Business Source Complete databases off-campus in the quicklinks.
Scanning request: Scan service for TU members
Articles or chapters from printed books and journals can be ordered as scans. This service is free of charge for TU members. A scanning request can be ordered from the Knowledge Portal Primo.
